Motion Sensing Light Switch Unknown Box On Light Switch?

Unknown box on light switch? - motion sensing light switch

A friend of mine just bought a house and she has an idea of strangers in a switch. It is a rectangular box with two buttons on the side and a light switch good look at his face. When you turn, push the switch on the side, bright on the outside when it is pushed to switch on the side. When you switch on the other hand, it is locked and can not make the traffic lights at all.

There seems to be a timer, such as one-thirty. It seems no motion sensors are connected to it.

Why this instead of a simple on / off switch?

I have one of them, but I want to get rid of it, never when my house. Set the switch only be sure the device is switched off. Then unscrew the switch and unplug the son switch assembly. You should end up with two solid copper son in the house with black insulation. The connection to a conventional switch. Put on the wall with a lid and turn off the power. Total cost: less than $ 2.

I guess, but I think the field is the channel that broadcasts a signal to a receiver mounted on the outer packaging. Click the right mouse button and you get light. Press another button and drag the recipient

So much so that adults do not play for the little finger-block with the light switch all the time. I know, I used to play with the switches as a child.

Can not be understood only in its statement what is at stake. It can be anything. It can be on the porch light on / off with automatic sun protection. Unless seen in person is difficult to answer.

Do you already have a ticking noise from inside the box when on or off?

If so, could a magnetic switch inside

magnetic contactors and power button, and maybe a manual switch.

Why use it? Power switch can be connected to an engine load or something. If your friend is not the owner of the house first hand, nothing better to the former owner or an electrician
